When I started development of my portfolio, I set out to create a React application using the Next.js framework and hosting it on Vercel. I had previous experience using Next.js on my dissertation, but since then I've had to readup on the new changes on the Next.js 14.0 documentation. Alongside this, I am still using a headless CMS but have decided to use DatoCMS over Strapi which I had used previously. I also am going to create the application using the DatoCMS blocks and modular content, allowing me to create a component page builder where I can directly change a pages layout and content on DatoCMS.
